MEETINGS

• The Pack (whole school) has a monthly meeting or activity.

  • Siblings are welcome at Pack meetings and events.

• Dens (by grade level) usually meet separately once per month, as scheduled by each den.

• Adults bring your Scout to meetings.

  • Everyone is encouraged to stay for meetings, but Lion/Tiger parents are required to.

  • Please encourage and model good behavior.

• Adults are asked to volunteer in at least one way during the year.

  • Our Pack is completely volunteer run, and we rely on adults to contribute and participate

  • Please let us know if you have any specific interests.

  • Possible options:

    • Cubmaster / Assistant (for leading Pack meetings)

    • Den Leader Assistant (for leading your grade)

    • Coodinator  (Camping / Fundraiser / Banquet / Advancement / Pinewood Derby / Service / etc.)

    • Committee member (to plan and coordinate)

UNIFORM & MATERIALS

• Our Pack does not have strict uniform requirements. We recommend:

  • A Scout shirt

    • The blue shirt for grades 1 - 4

      • UP-SIZE! You will wear it through 4th grade

    • The tan shirt for grade 5

      • UP-SIZE! You can use it in the older Scouting America program in middle/high school

    • Scouts in Kindergarten can get the Lion t-shirt if desired (but not required)

    • HAND-ME-DOWN! Feel free to pass shirts down to younger siblings.

    • We also have an exchange closet! Ask for more info.

  • A neckerchief & slide (grades 1-5)

    • Check our exchange closet or ask your den leader if they are providing it.

  • Rank-specific scout book

• DON’T SPEND EXTRA:

  • Kindergarten through 3rd grade awards can go on a belt, but it’s not required, and any belt is fine.

  • Scout pants/skirt/hat/socks/etc. are not required.

COST

• Pack 163 asks each scout to participate in the annual fundraiser. If each scout sells 20 boxes of microwave popcorn, we should have enough to meet our costs.
